Nagada is a village of weavers located on the western bank of the Nile River in Upper Egypt. The weaving tradition has been carried on there since pharaonic times.

Fashion designers, Sylva Nasrallah and Michel Pastore, were inspired by the traditional motifs to create a new line of fabric designs and colors. They carefully choose and dye high-quality Egyptian cotton yarn, which is hand woven by the craftsmen of Nagada. By using primitive looms, natural cotton yarns and patterns inspired by popular fabrics, Nagada reveals a very modern side to tradition.
